Midland Misfits Scooter Club Annual Do,
15th September 2007
After a successful Scooter Do during 2006, plans were afoot to make it bigger and better for 2007.
After many months of planning the day came, to be awoken by glorious sunshine, well overdue after a pretty shite summer no less, and by 2pm the site at Ryton Sports Connexion was starting to fill with Tents and scooterists.
With tents up, beer on ice, some happy campers filled in the Misfits Fun Quiz, an annual event, with some rather dodgy questions no less!
A Tombola stall, offering all sorts of goodies collected on behalf of G.U.T, a
With winning tickets abundant and some nice prizes, (Nice perfume Les!!!) it got the attention of all Scooterists there.
With parts stalls from Martin & Julie of Scootabitz fame, and Reddog Lambretta it gave the feeling of a half decent rally with many good parts on offer at decent money. Thanks to them for the raffle donations. Tops!!
The night Do came, which had become a sell out weeks before, leaving many unfortunates to beg or borrow to get hold of tickets.
Ryton Do’s are famous for their Asian weddings in the next room, but not tonight a “normal” 18th Birthday party (and we know which club members gate-crashed it to do “Ooop Upside Ur Head!” – Sad, very sad).
Downstairs though, a Jamaican prayer all night meeting kept the chants going and also the burger van in plenty of business (do you do Fish? – no we do burgers!).
The Do filled up very quickly and, with Marsh Mallow Factory, on the DJ decks got the 250 people there moving their feets, shuffling and jumping.

Thanks to Orange Street, and to Roddy for a great show, and thanks to various scooter clubs: All or Nothing, F****d up & Wasted, B5000, Soul 45, Northants VLSC, Rose of the Shires, Rugby Bears, Leicester Phoenix, Wulfrunains (and any others missed – sorry!) and of course the Misfits members for coming and having a great night.
A big well done to all club members involved in organising this years' Do and those members that helped on door etc.
The tombola and collections raised over £300 for the cancer Support Group G.U.T which hopes to be put towards some medical equipment. Thanks goes to everyone for their donations, it does make a difference.
Now everyone’s asking for a Midland Misfits 2 night rally next year so watch this space,
